Electro-Harmonix touts new bass stomps

New York-based pedal veterans Electro-Harmonix have launched a barrage of new stomps designed specifically for use by bass players. Included in the initial half-dozen offerings are the Bass Big Muff Pi, Nano Bassballs, Bass MicroSynth, Bass Metaphors, Nano Steel Leathers and the curiously monikered Bass Blogger.

Not a lot of info on the new stomps just yet, but a quick check of the EHX website reveals that the Bass Blogger is touted as being ‘ultra subtle’ with ‘perfect distortion’ creating the ‘perfect dialog with your drummer.’

The Bass Metaphors is a combo distortion/compression stomp that boasts ‘deadly tone.’ Steel Leathers appears to be an expander. The Nano Bassballs sports twin tuned filters that deliver ‘real deal funk and envelope control.’ Lastly, the Bass MicroSynth is an analog bass synthesizer that offers ‘warm, sweet and earthy’ tones.

See the full suite of stomps at EHX’s website. More on this group of pedals as we get it…
