Chunk Systems unleashes Octavius Squeezer
Godlyke Distributing has chimed in with news that the Chunk Systems Octavius Squeezer – being touted as the world’s first analog/digital hybrid bass synthesizer to be housed in a compact stompbox format – will ship next month. Manufactured in Australia, the ambitious new stomp boasts an analog audio path featuring a variety of synth, octave, fizz, and filter effects and a digital preset system that allows constant reconfiguration of the audio signal path and storage of parameter settings as well as an on-board tuner and tap-tempo metronome.
Other features of the bass pedal include true bypass, over 50 digital onboard presets with bank organization, SD card socket for the ability to save/load other presets and firmware upgrades. The guts of the stomp include an analog two pole lowpass and band pass filter circuit, analog fuzz circuit, digital pitch tracking, analog waveform synthesis, and one octave down/one octave up and two octaves up synthesis. The pedal comes with a three-year warranty and carries a street price of $599.
