PSA: Let me hip you to Pete Bernhard

Pete Bernhard, the leader of the uber-cool bluegrass trio The Devil Makes Three – will be releasing his second solo record – Straight Line – on 15 September. The album, on Milan Records, is a hybrid between Devil’s blue-picking roots and a fun alt-country jam-along chock full of catchy tunes with the right mix of kitsch and chops. The official word is that the new collection has a ‘no-holds-barred feel ‘about it and lyrical fearlessness that one only finds in the truly liberated – feeling no pressure of fitting into a mold. I’ve listened to the album a dozen times and this I can say… Bernhard is a master of writing tunes that stick with you. Give this a listen!
