LastGasp Art Laboratories has added three new pedals to its line up – the Toxic Plant disharmonic distortion, the Steroid OD overload unit and the Sick Pitch King Jr. Oscillo Ring Modulator. The Toxic Plant, based on a ring modulator circuit, will ring at low gain settings, but will create a disharmonic distortion sound from a hysterical high to a deep growl at high gain settings. The Sick Pitch King Jr. creates a discordant sound suitable for metallic-edged sound effects. A player can select the motion form of the frequencies ‘Smooth’ or ‘Step’. The Steroid OD is an overdrive pedal that emulates an overloaded amplifier. The tone can be altered via its Tone control and Sculpting switch.
