Black Cat does MkI… American style
The crew at Black Cat Pedals built a limited, and now sold out, run of Tone Bender MkI inspired stomps dubbed the Black Cat Tone Bender MkI Americano. The build was a special order from a customer, but the company was moved to create something a little different from the standard MkI clone. The result was creation of five MkIs with all American components – Texas Instruments 2N404 transistors, Sozo and (USA) Sprague caps, NOS carbon comp resistors, Switchcraft jacks, Carling switch, etc… all inside a custom handmade enclosure. And for a final touch, the legs of each transistor were dressed with red, white and blue wire. Black Cat, we salute you!
