Wiio ships, Formula No. 5 in development
The fine folks at Catalinbread are now shipping the production version of their Wiio pedal. The Wiio was initially done as a 100-piece limited edition, but overwhelming demand prompted the company to add the stomp to its 2010 release schedule. The Wiio is a Hiwatt-in-a-Box styled pedal boasting Master, Treble, Bass and Gain knob controls. The Wiio v2 sells of around $159. On the drawing board, the C-bread crew is getting closer to its next amp-in-a-box release, the Formula No. 5. This pedal based on the vintage Tweed sound has three knob controls – Volume, Tone and Gain. The Formula No. 5 should hit the streets later this spring. More when we know it…. stay tuned!
