Wampler gets inspired by Soldano
Wampler Pedals has teased an artist rendering of a new ‘amp-in-a-box’ pedal it has in the pipeline for release later this year. The Wampler SLOstortion (American High Gain Distortion) is based on a Soldano SLO-100 and sports a robust distortion/overdrive sound with a myriad of tweakable controls. The pedal sports five knobs – Level, Overdrive, Bass, Middle and Treble. The SLOstortion also has a mini-toggle that will switch between distortion and overdrive territories. According to the company, this one will be able to take you from George Lynch and Nuno Bettencourt crunch right back to a more tone-driven, sweet all-American stack. The pedal is said to be in its final tweaking stage. Stay tuned!
