According to the post, the pedal was originally conceived about four years ago, but this new generation version boasts certain improvements. The current prototype has two frequency control knobs and a volume knob along the left side. The Firefly creates its own sound so the guitar input is only there for convenience for live use. You just plug it into your chain and run it through your pedalboard. Go here for the video goodies.
