The Panetone 1×12 is a ‘tall’ combo amp rated at 25 watts and powered by a pair of 6V6s. The amp also is fitted with NOS RCA 5751 pre-amp tubes. According to the Hip Kitty crew, the amp’s specially designed transformers and rated/matched 5751s set it in a class all by itself. The Panetone’s sliver face plate sports controls for Master Volume, Presence, Bass, Middle, Treble and Volume and two instrument inputs. The amp comes stock with a new Jensen Falcon 12″ speaker. The Panetone was offered for order at show for $1,100. Check out the big picture after the jump!

The crew at Hip Kitty have put out the official word on their boost/overdrive pedal, dubbed The Glaze. The stomp was created to add warmth and clarity to each note and chord played. The Glaze’s calling card is its ability to expand and add to the upper harmonic content – or ‘glaze’ it – while allowing the lower register notes to retain clarity and focus. The Gain control allows for the most minimal boost level up to an overdriven tube sound at higher gain settings. The Glaze made its initial debut at the 2009 Nashville Amp Expo in Nashville, Tennessee as a prototype test unit. Overwhelming feedback brought the pedal to market. Street price on The Glaze is $135.

The as-yet-unnamed pedal got rave reviews from the crowd at the show and top kitty and designer Neal Logdahl told What’s That Dude Play? that the pedal will go into production soon. Having sampled the stomp myself, I can say that it is offers a growling drive tone that aches to drive rhythm parts to hard rocking tunes. The company gave away the prototype pedal via a drawing at the show. Though I didn’t win, I am looking forward to getting my hands on one of these beauties for a future review on the site.
