The fine folks at Israel’s PiggyFX have unleashed a teaser image of a soon-to-be-released overdrive pedal dubbed the Flash Drive. The stomp sports a raw metal enclosure adorned with shiny gold hardware. Four knob controls on the pedal include Level, Drive, Hi and Lo – the last two appearing to be some sort of EQ option allowing users to dial up/down high and low frequency options to taste. That’s about all we have on the detail. Pricing and availability will be made known shortly and we’ll be sure to pass it along. For now, you can take a closer look at the Flash Drive after the jump!
The Internet is a wonderful thing. Not only does it give ideas like WTDP? a platform to exist (thanks, Internet!), it gives folks like us the ability to cast a much wider net when it comes to gathering up knowledge on the plethora of smaller pedal making shops scattered across the globe. I can say with little doubt that without the Internet we would have never heard of Israel-based PiggyFX and certainly never had been able to get our hands on a Schweinefleisch fuzz to review. But we did! The only thing left was to figure if this wild boar was made of straw, sticks or bricks?
The fine folks over at PiggyFX have alerted us of a redesign of their Schweinefleisch fuzz pedal. The Israeli-based builder has successfully downsized the stomp into a mini-enclosure. The Schweinefleisch is a MKII type fuzz that delivers classic fuzz tones and also is a hybrid boasting both silicon and germanium transistors. The true bypass pedal has two knob controls – Level and Fuzz. The pedal is available now. Check out the company’s other offering on their website. You can peep a pair of demo videos featuring the large-enclosure Schweinefleisch after the jump!
