The fine folks at Fuchs Audio Technology are offering up a very limited run of their popular Plush FX Valve Job pedal to celebrate director of AR/Marketing Debra Muller’s fourth anniversary with the company. The limited edition – just 20 pedals – boast a clear metal sparkle finish and all are signed and numbered by Andy Fuchs himself. The Plush FX Valve Job is a boutique amp in a box featuring Gain, Touch, Tone and Level controls. According to the company, the pedal’s unique bi-fet integrated circuit matched to a real 12AX7 vacuum tube emulates the smooth overload of a tube amp, but with the shimmering harmonics only a tube can provide. $259, and it’s yours!

Fuchs demos the Replay tube delay

A few weeks back, Andy at Fuchs Audio gave us a sneak peek at the new Plush FX Replay Jr delay pedal and promised a trio of tube delays were in the offing with varied ability and price levels. Fuchs now has posted a demo video of the big boy – the Replay. The pedal sports a real tube level indicator, peak light, tap tempo, 10ms to 1-second of delay, wow and flutter controls, separate FX loop/patch for the delayed signal for stereo, remote footswitch operation, processing delays pre-tube audio stage. Repeat and fidelity controls adjust repeats and decays to tube-tape like standards. In short, it’s a monster. Video proof after the jump!

Fuchs demos Replay Jr echo stomp

The Plush FX crew have been busy over the past few months prototyping what is slated to be a line of three delay pedals – one high-end, one middle-of-the-road and one entry level. The top unit, Replay, will be a digital-based delay unit with all tube analog audio and boast 16-khz bandwidth, tap tempo, 50-ms to 1-second of adjustable delay, variable repeats with frequency contouring, wow and flutter controls to additionally emulate tape and a separate FX loop for the delay signal. A few units could make their way to the LA Amp Show next month. Full line roll out will occur at NAMM in January. Check out a video demo of the middle unit, the Replay Jr, after the jump!

Plush FX to debut new stomp trio at NAMM

Plush FX Pedals, a division of Fuchs Audio Technology, will unveil three new effects pedals at the upcoming Winter NAMM convention in LA. The “Noxious” is the Nick Catanese (Black Label Society and Speed X) signature pedal. It sports a full complement of amp style controls: gain,high-mid-low, and master volume and provides the kind of organic high-gain searing metal drive and amp-like feel. Next, the “Verbrator” combines an all tube effects loop with a studio grade 24-bit digital reverb in a compact pedal size package. While it runs on a 9V adaptor, a switching power supply runs the tube on the proper high voltages that tubes crave. Lastly, “The Pure Gain Plus” combines two ultra-quiet Pure Gain modules with an A/B box. When used with two guitars it allows the player to both boost or buffer and match their levels. When used with a single guitar, it will provide bypass and two distinct gain and/or buffer settings. Look for more on these stomps in January!
